Ibtikar for Empowerment and Social Entrepreneurship

Ibtikar believes that innovations advance gender equality. Ibtikar describes three areas of innovation that, when they intersect, have the potential to progress women’s empowerment: (1) technology use, (2) social norm change, and (3) economic resilience. Ibtikar believes that when girls and women thrive in all these three areas, there is a demonstrable shift in gender relations. Ibtikar is always testing elements of this approach and building its understanding of the the intersection between innovation and gender equity.
